I didn't like Barthez

1. Why did you start to support Manchester United?

The first time I saw United playing was against Juventus in 1999, 2nd leg of semifinals. I was 9 then and I was amazed with the way they played in the second half – inspired by Keano, they fought till the end and managed to make a comeback, and such a wonderful one! I know Keano and Scholes wouldn’t be able to play in the final, but their contribution to the match was huge. So, I saw courage, determination, ability to fight, and win, and selflessness in them, and what’s the most important thing to me – ability to play as a team. That’s when I fell in love with them and the feeling’s growing day by day.

2. Who is your favorite player this season?

Giggs and Scholes never fail to amaze me with their class. Rooney and RvP will also be the key players this season, I think.

3. Who is the best player Manchester United had in its history?

Duncan Edwards, the United trinity, King Eric... but I have not seen them play every weekend. I was watching Keano for several years, and I’ve been watching Giggs and Scholes for as long as I’ve been supporting United. I’d have to name the latter three as my personal all-time favourites.

4. Have you been to Manchester United match?

Unfortunately, not yet.

5. Have you been to Old Trafford?

Yes.

6. What is the best memorable moment you had with the club?

Winning the CL against Chelsea in 2008, putting the end to Arsenal’s 49 unbeaten matches in 2004 and the comebacks against Villa and Spurs, in 2008-2009. Also, beating the scousers, City and Chelsea are always great and memorable.

7. What do you think about Alex Ferguson?

If United were the universe, he’d be the God, as he’s pretty much the creator of the team as we know it today. He’s the best manager in the world as well, otherwise he wouldn’t have managed to stay at United for almost 26 years now.

8. If you were the manager of Manchester United, who's the player, you would bring to the club? 

If we need someone, Sir Alex will better take care of it. Neuer would be nice, but it’s too unrealistic, and De Gea’s improving fast, at that. 

9. Is there a player in the club that you don't like? 

Not now. But there were some who I thought didn’t deserve to wear our Shirt. Like Bartez, Van Der Gou, etc. Anyway, if a player is playing in United, he should play.

10. What will be the achievements of the club this season? 

Let’s start with the 20th, then we can move on to the CL, and the League cup as well as the FA Cup would be nice as well :)

11. What makes Manchester United as a special club in comparison to other football clubs in the world? 

Our history, our team spirit, our manager, our fans.
